We present a case of pulmonary leiomyoma, a benign tumor which has a low frequency. We have reviewed the current relevant literature and we have found only 73 reported cases, none of them in the national literature. We outstand its incidence within all the benign tumors of the lung (2%) and carry out a topographic classification (tracheal, bronchial and parenchymatous) which is critical in the understanting of its clinical features and in establishing an adequate treatment.
