Fumihiro Kashizaki, Shohei Watanabe, Ryusuke Orii, Hanming Lin, Yoshiyuki Yasuura, Kentaro Yumoto, Hiroyuki Osawa, Harumi Koizumi

Highlights

  • •

Thoracic NUT carcinoma showed marked clinical outcome heterogeneity despite uniformly aggressive presentation.

  • •

Bone metastasis at diagnosis was associated with shorter overall survival.

  • •

Long-term survivors were enriched for lower metastatic burden, absence of bone metastasis, and multimodality treatment.

  • •

Initial RECIST response alone did not fully explain long-term survival.

  • •

Thoracic radiotherapy provided short-term palliation and, in selected patients, prolonged disease control.
