Resumen

Se revisan 27 casos de neumotorax espontáneo, haciendo un estudio clínico de factores desencadenantes, localización, tipos, recidivas, complicaciones espontáneas y terapéuticas, etc., e insistiendo en la respuesta de los pacientes frente a las diferentes activudes terapéuticas.

Se concluye la necesidad de una actitud más intervencionista, frente a los casos de neumotorax espontáneo en sujeros jóvenes y consecuentes a ruptura de bullas subpleurales, citándose los resultados obtenidos con un nuevo proceder quirúrgico, que por su falta de complicaciones, tanto inmediatas como tardías, y su seguridad respecto a recidivas, creemos debe ser prodigado en mayor número de casos.

Summary

The authors review 27 cases of spontaneous pneumothorax, making a clinical study of causing lactors, location, types, relapses; spontaneous and therapeutical complications, and insisting on the response of the patientes to the different therapeutical activities.

The authors conclude stating the necessity of a more active attitude against the cases of spontaneous pneumothorax in young patients and consequent to rupture of subplueral bullae. They cite the results obtained with a new surgical procedure, that dfe to its lack of complications, immediate as well as delayed, aud its security with respect to relapses, make the afthors feel that it should be used in a greater number of cases.
