Lymphangiomyomatosis is an aberrant proliferation of aty-pical smooth muscle which involves the lymphatic system and is exclusively found in témales, usually in fertile age. We report a 32-year-old female with bloodstained sputum in whom the only radiological finding was a diffuse bilateral interstitial pattern. The clinical, radiológica!, functional and pathological features are discussed, and the therapeutic possi-bilities are reviewed.
