Summary

As a result of their experience in the determination of regional perfusion of the lung with Xenon-133 during spontaneous respiration, the authors have seen that some of the errors of the method correspond to a technical cause that can be eliminated more or less easily. On the contrary, others depend on the patient and cannot be eliminated, but should be taken into account when interpreting the results. Since the technical erros depend on the apparatus used, each laboratory must experiment and find the corrections necessary for their particular case.
