Summary

The authors analyzed a series of 100 cases selected at random, all of them with confirmed diagnoses, given the possibility of finding suspicious images of a pulmonary metástasis as a first manifestation of a neoplasm. In their experience close to 60 % presented pleuropulmonary symptoms one year before the onset of general symptomatology, and in occasions the diagnosis of the possible primitive neoformaction was carried out by the presence of radiological images suspicious of metastasis. No characteristic radiological pattern were found attending each group primitive neoplasms.
