Summary

Bronchial asthma is a disease whose alteration is not located exclusively in the air route but can aiso equally alter trie pulmonary parenchyma and give place to an increase of the pulmonary docility by decrease of its force of elastic retraction.

In the intercrisis, according to the authors of this papers as well as to other authors, there is no alteration of the pulmonary elastic system. although this is not unanimousby accepted.

Their results lead the authors to believe that in the acute crisis of asthma, the alteration ofthe pulmonary elastic system is not constant although it can take place.

The causes of this loss of elastic retraction, when it exists, are unknown.
