Se presentan ocho casos de mesotelioma fibroso localizado, revisando la sintomatología y estudios diagnósticos, especialmente los aspectos radiológicos.
Se estudian también distintos aspectos del tratamiento quirúrgico y la evaluación clínica, haciendo hincapié en la resección amplia de la base de implantación en los casos de dudosa benignidad.
The authors describe eight cases of localized fibrous mesothelioma.
The symptoms and diagnostic studies with emphasis on the radiologic aspects, are reviewed.
The different aspects of surgical therapy and clinical course and wide resection in cases were the nonmalignant character of the process is suspected, are discussed.
