We reviewed the medical records of five patients with synchronous double tumor and a sixth with metachronous double tumour. All the patients had bilateral lung involvement. In four cases, both tumours were epidermoid while the other two patients showed combinations of epidermoid and oat cell, and epidermoid and bronchioloalveolar tumours, respectively. One of the patients had a second tumour as in situ carcinoma located on an endobronchial lipoma. In three patients, the second tumour was only diagnosed by fiberoptic bronchoscopy since thorac x-ray studies showed no abnormal findings. No organ or bone metatasis were found by using several imaging techniques. The diagnosis of this condition is discussed. A review of the literature is also provided.
