Resumen

Se ha estudiado un método para valorar durante el ejercicio físico, los parámetros cardiopulmonares en pacientes con CNSLD. La reproductibilidad, expresada en el mismo sujeto como diferencia entre dos determinaciones, se ha investigado en personas normales y en pacientes con CNSLD en período estable de su enfermedad. Estos pacientes hicieron el ejercicio físico seis semanas en la clínica y luego lo continuaron en casa. Se encontraron cambios significativos después del ejercicio, del punto máximo de esfuerzo y de la concentración de ácido láctico en sangre. El grupo mantenía gran parte de su recuperación ocho meses más tarde. Esto sugiere que los parámetros cardiopulmonares estudiados son índices útiles de cambio en la mejoría del ejercicio físico.

SUMMARY

A method has been studied to assess cardiopulmonary parameters during exercise in patients with CNSLD. The reproducibility —expressed as difference between two determinations in the same subject— has been investigated in «normal» subjects and in patients with CNSLD during a stable period of the disease. The utility has been investigated in 32 patients with CNSLD: exercise training began with six weeks in the clinic and was continued at home. Significant changes for «peak performance» and lactate concentration were found after exercise training in the clinic. The group maintained most of their improvement 8 months later. It suggests that «peak performance» and heart rate during «peak performance» are useful Índex of change in improvement of exercise tolerance.
